Some lives are incredibly short. Their memories shouldn't be.

For parents who lose a baby before birth, there are often very few memories to hold on to.

But one precious memory already exists: their baby's heartbeat.

Together with Ghent University Hospital and Berrefonds, we developed a way to recreate the sound of that

heartbeat from medical ultrasound recordings.

The result is a personal audiovisual keepsake that parents can listen to, preserve and share.

Using technology not to create something new, but to give something irreplaceable back.
